Wes Montgomery, CPA, Joins Kruggel Lawton CPAs

 Kruggel Lawton CPAs, a regional full-service accounting and business advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Wes Montgomery, CPA has joined the firm as a Manager.

Montgomery brings with him more than 20 years of accounting experience with a focus in tax, assurance, and Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS). His background not only includes public accounting but nearly a decade in the private sector working as a Controller and CFO.

Originally from Athens, Tenn., Montgomery served in the U.S. Marine Corps before studying at Tennessee Wesleyan University. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He then received a Master of Accountancy degree with a concentration in Tax from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

“We are excited to have Wes on board as we continue to grow in Knoxville, as well as East Tennessee,” says Adam Schwelnus, CPA, CGMA, Kruggel Lawton Partner. “Wes has a diverse background having worked in both public accounting and industry that we feel will help expand our service offerings in the region.”

In his role at Kruggel Lawton, Montgomery will help lead the firm’s CAAS and tax services in Knoxville, which include outsourced accounting, CFO/controllership, corporate and individual tax preparation and consulting, monthly reconciliations, as well as financial statements and analysis. He works alongside Aaron O’Dell, CPA, Senior Manager, in the firm’s Hanna Place office.
