Anita Ison, CPA, Joins Kruggel Lawton CPAs as Senior Manager

Kruggel Lawton CPAs, a regional full-service accounting and business advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Anita Ison, CPA, has joined the firm as a Senior Manager.

Ison brings with her more than 20 years of public accounting audit experience with a particular focus in employee benefit plans. Her background spans a variety of industries including manufacturing, professional services, higher education, and healthcare. A Logansport native, she received a B.S. in Accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind.

Ison began her career at a public accounting firm where she advanced to Senior Manager in their Benefit Plan Services group.  While there, she managed a large number of benefit plan audit engagements, served as a firm-wide resource on plan audit training, and helped coach, mentor and develop professional staff.  Since leaving in 2018, she has been helping her husband manage operational and business matters for his construction safety management business, as well as doing tax preparation work for a local financial advisor.

In her role at Kruggel Lawton, Ison is involved at the senior management level in employee benefit plan audits. She will focus on training and development for new team members, as well as helping develop audit tools. Located in Carmel, Ind., she will work alongside the employee benefit audit leadership team to continue to grow the practice regionally and in Indianapolis.

Ison is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society.
