Monica Brickel, CPA, Named to Forty Under 40

Congratulations to Monica Brickel, CPA, on being named as a 2014 Michiana Forty Under 40 honoree! This program salutes 40 of the best and brightest individuals under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions in the business, professional, civic and personal arenas in the Michiana region.

Monica started with Kruggel Lawton as a staff accountant in 1999. Over the 15 years she has been with the firm, Monica has displayed great professionalism and a genuine interest in helping her clients achieve their goals. Today she is involved at the management level in the firm’s tax practice and specialized tax research for the firm. Her areas of service include consultation, planning and preparation for corporate, partnership, estate, property, and individual income tax.

As younger staff join the firm, Monica serves as a mentor and trainer, getting their career off to a running head start. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.

Monica is a member of Grace Church in Granger and is involved at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in South Bend as a Bible quiz coach. She enjoys music and for several years has supported the Vesper Chorale through charitable giving and her voice, singing alto. Her previous community involvement has also included tutoring children at Hope Ministries and teaching a class for Junior Achievement during CPA Day of Service.

In her free time, Monica likes to cook, travel, and listen to Cincinnati Reds baseball.
