Margene Zink Selected for Forty Under 40 Class of 2018

Kruggel Lawton is pleased to announce that Partner Margene Zink, CPA has been selected as one of the Michiana Forty Under 40 for 2018 by the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce. The program shines a spotlight on 40 of the area's most talented and dedicated young executives, professionals, and leaders who demonstrate career success and community engagement before the age of 40.

Zink is the leader of Kruggel Lawton's nonprofit practice, having been elected as a partner effective January 1, 2018. Over the 15 plus years she has been with the firm, Zink has displayed great professionalism and a genuine interest in helping her clients achieve their goals. She prides herself in helping organizations ensure they have the proper internal controls in place while also making recommendations that help them improve their processes and advance their mission.

"The exponential growth of Kruggel Lawton’s nonprofit practice is due in no small part to Margene’s dedication. She should be very proud of what she has accomplished thus far in her career and her fellow partners of Kruggel Lawton are certain the best is yet to come," said Barry Hall, managing partner.

Zink has served as a volunteer assistant coach of the Bethany Christian High School Girls Basketball team for the past 11 seasons. She genuinely loves to watch the growth and development of the girls on her team each year. Even though her “busy season” schedule during the months of January through April is hectic, she tries to make the team a priority during basketball season.

Last year Zink successfully completed the Transformational Leadership Program (TLP) conducted by Convergence Coaching. The TLP is a year-long program designed to help future accounting firm leaders honestly identify their strengths and areas for improvement, develop strategies and skills to drive performance improvements, and prepare to take on meaningful roles in leading and managing a firm. She is also a 2012 graduate of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy.

Zink received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Goshen College and an Associate in Science, Business Concentration, from Kankakee Community College. Her professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.

The 2018 Class of Michiana Forty Under 40 will be recognized at a luncheon being held in their honor on Friday, May 11, 2018. Luncheon details, registration, and the complete list of this year's honorees can be found on the Forty Under 40 website.
