Nicole Hanlon, CPA is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office focusing on audits along with corporate and individual tax preparation. Nicole received her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Grace College. In her free time, Nicole enjoys water sports, riding her RipStik, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves to travel, play her violin, and study Spanish. She is a member of Nappanee Missionary Church and a violinist in the Bethel University Community Orchestra.
Olivia Johnson is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office. She received her BS in Accounting from Grand Valley State University and her MBA in Accounting from Davenport University. Olivia provides tax services to a variety of clients including corporate, individual, and property tax preparation. In her free time, Olivia likes to travel and takes an annual trip to Portland, Oregon. She also enjoys reading, and playing board games with friends. Her travels frequently take her back home to Michigan where she spends time with her parents and nephews. Olivia is also a volunteer at Indian Trails Camp, God's Kitchen, and Saint Pius X Catholic Church.
Olivia Kauffman is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's Elkhart, Ind. office focusing on corporate tax preparation and audit services, individual tax preparation, estate and trust tax preparation as well as business valuations and projections. She received her BBA in Accounting from Grand Valley State University. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys staying active by working out and attending fitness classes. She also loves snowboarding in the winter and boating on the lake with her family when things warm up. Her competitive spirit gets a spike in the summer playing in a sand volleyball league.
Joe Puzycki is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's St. Joseph, Mich. office. Joe received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Michigan State University. His areas of service include audits, reviews, compilations and 990 preparation. In his free time, Joe enjoys both playing and watching basketball. He also likes birdwatching, hiking and skiing in the great outdoors.
Lucas Vernynckt is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office. He received a BA in Accounting from Grace College, and joined Kruggel Lawton full time in 2019 after completing a tax season internship. Lucas provides tax services to a variety of clients including corporate, individual, and property tax preparation. He also works on audits, reviews, and compilations as well as employee benefit plan audits. Lucas is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the Young Professionals Network in South Bend. Outside of work Lucas enjoys spending time with friends and family while playing and watching tennis, basketball and football. He is an avid hunter and fisherman and loves the sights and sounds the outdoors has to offer.
Josh Brown, CPA is a Senior Manager in the firm's Goshen, Ind. office. He received a BA in Accounting/Business Administration/Bible from Grace College. Since joining Kruggel Lawton, Josh has been involved in numerous assurance engagements and now specializes in nonprofit entities. He has also obtained sufficient CPE hours to assist on Single Audits and is well versed with preparation of form 990. Other areas of service include corporate and individual tax preparation, audit, reviews and compilations, as well as trust and estate tax preparation. Josh enjoys watching and playing all sports, especially basketball and golf. He likes to be outdoors and is always in search of new adventures.
Karen Hitt, CPA is a Senior Manager in the firm's Elkhart, Ind. office. She received her BA in Accounting and Masters of Accountancy from Manchester College. Karen is experienced in tax services for corporations, partnerships and individuals – including income and property tax returns, tax planning and research. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society, and is a graduate of the 2013 Elkhart Chamber Leadership Academy. Karen enjoys time away from the office with her family and friends, especially summers at Lake Michigan to enjoy the good weather, swim and relax. She likes to read books, ride her bicycle and do trivia and puzzles.
Tanya Kessinger, CPA is a Senior Manager in the firm's Elkhart, Ind. office. She received her undergraduate degree in Accounting, highest distinction, from Indiana University. At Kruggel Lawton she focuses on tax preparation and review for corporate, individual, estate and trust clients in addition to tax forecasting and projections. Tanya is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society, as well as Plainfield Community Church and the Riddell National Bank Board of Directors. She enjoys spending time with her three children, watching them play soccer and tennis. She also enjoys reading, family bike rides, and relaxing with her family.
Andy Kinnard is the Director of IT in the firm's St. Joseph, Mich. office. He completed his undergraduate at the University of Notre Dame and received a MA in Psychology from Indiana University South Bend. Andy has over 22 years of experience working in IT for accounting firms. When he's away from the office, Andy enjoys touring the country with his wife on their motorcycles and indoor roller-skating.
Courtney Watts, CPA is a Senior Manager in the firm's Elkhart, Ind. office. She received a BS in Accounting and a BS in Finance from Indiana Wesleyan University. Courtney focuses on fiduciary tax services, as well as corporate and individual taxation at Kruggel Lawton. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society and the Elkhart County Estate Planning Council. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys playing sports, traveling, being outdoors and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
