Kruggel Lawton CPAs is delighted to announce the promotion of seventeen of its professionals in the firm.

Cambria Comer, CPA is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's Elkhart, Ind. office focusing on assurance engagements as well as corporate and individual tax preparation for a variety of clients. Cambria received her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Indiana University South Bend. In her free time, Cambria enjoys reading, playing with her dog, and going to concerts.

Jeannine Honderich, CPA is a Senior Manager in the firm's Goshen, Ind. office. She received her BS in Accounting from Valparaiso University. She provides tax services to a variety of clients including corporate and individual, property tax preparation, and multi-state taxation. Jeannine enjoys spending time with her husband and four children especially following her son's cross country team. She also loves playing tennis, biking, reading and watching Notre Dame Football. She looks forward to her annual trip to the beach after busy season.

Allison James, CPA is a Senior Manager in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office working with KL's nonprofit team on audit, review, and compilation engagements. She received her BBA in Accounting from Saint Mary's College. Allison is a lifelong Notre Dame sports fan and enjoys spending time with her husband, Mat and two children, Bennett and Lindsay and her dog Danger.

Jess Keaton, CPA is a Manager in the firm's Goshen, Ind. office. She is experienced in audit, review and compilation engagements, with a concentration in the nonprofit industry. She is also well-versed in exempt organization information reporting and is a key member of the nonprofit team. Jess received her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University. Outside of work, Jess enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, swimming and going to concerts. She and her husband Tyler were married in July 2017.

Aaron Lambert, CPA is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's Goshen, Ind. office. He attend Goshen College where he received a BA in Accounting. Aaron is primarily involved in individual and corporate tax preparation as well as audit and review compilations. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys pursuits in automotive and appliance repair and working on just about anything he can get his hands on around the house. He also likes spending time outdoors camping, hiking, biking and downhill skiing. He enjoys Star Trek movie nights with friends and exploring new adventures.

Nick Muller is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office. He received a BA in Business, Accounting from Indiana University South Bend. Nick is a member of KL's CAAS team and is experienced in bookkeeping as well as individual and corporate taxes. In his spare time, Nick camping, hiking, playing board games and bike riding while spending time with family and friends. During winter months, he gets out often for snowboarding and cross country skiing. Whenever he gets a chance, he can be found honing his woodworking and remodeling skills which have been passed down through his family.

Kyleigh Otwinowski is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office.  She received a BA in Accounting and Marketing and a MS in Accounting from Indiana University South Bend. Kyleigh works on a variety of individual and corporate tax returns as well as personal property tax preparation. Outside of work, Kyleigh enjoys slalom and barefoot waterskiing, hiking, and working out in the gym. She loves spending time with family, especially her niece and nephew and her husband, Matt.

Cheri Pickard is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office. She received her BS in Economics from the University of Missouri. Her professional experience includes trust, estate, and gift tax preparation and individual tax returns. Cheri enjoys working jigsaw puzzles, studying the Bible, and hanging out at the pool with friends during summer months. Most of all, she loves spending time with her children.

Juliana Romano, CPA is a Manager in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office. She received a BA in Accounting and Marketing from Grace College. Juliana joined the firm in 2021 with varied experience in assurance and tax compliance in the nonprofit, construction and manufacturing industries, as well as employee benefit plans at a small Indiana firm. In her free time, this right-brained accountant is a self proclaimed music snob who enjoys singing, playing piano and guitar and listening to her growing vinyl collection. She also enjoys cooking, rainy afternoons in coffee shops reading, writing and experiencing new cultures.

Sara Ross, CPA, CGMA is a Senior Manager in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office. She received a BA in Accounting and Finance from Manchester University. Sara works on a variety of returns including multistate and local, corporate, individual and property tax. She enjoys time away from the office with her husband, Scott, and daughters Mackenzie and Madison. She enjoys digital scrapbooking, reading, watching TV and shopping.

Erin Sessa is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's Elkhart, Ind. office. She received her BA in Accounting from Goshen College. Erin works on a variety of individual and corporate tax returns as well as audits, reviews, and compilations. In her spare time Erin enjoys traveling and reading. She also likes spending time with her family and friends.

Phil Shenk, CPA is a Senior Manager in the firm's Goshen, Ind. office. He joined the firm in 2019 with several years of public accounting audit experience and corporate accounting in the banking industry. He received his BA in Accounting from Goshen College. Outside of work, Phil enjoys several outdoor activities with his wife and young son including gardening, golf, running and hiking. When weather doesn’t permit any of those, he enjoys watching basketball, football and soccer.

Pete Skevington, CPA is a Manager in the firm's Elkhart, Ind. office. He is part of KL's Employee Benefits team and primarily focuses on auditing qualified retirement plans, annual recordkeeping for defined contribution plans, and technical consulting related to defined contribution plans. Pete received his BS in Accounting from Indiana University South Bend. In his free time Pete enjoys golfing, bowling and completing specific home improvement projects.

Jeremy Tolsma is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's St. Joseph, Mich. office. Jeremy joined the firm in 2022 after two summer internships where he focused on individual and business tax preparation. In addition tax prep, he also assists with audits and reviewing services for government and nonprofit clients. Jeremy received his BS and Masters in Accounting from Western Michigan University. He is a huge outdoor sports fan with his favorites being basketball, soccer, baseball and golf although he is game for any sport with friends.

Alex Trippel, CPA is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office. He received his BS in Accounting from the University of St. Francis. He works on a variety of individual and corporate tax returns as well as personal property tax preparation. Alex enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid runner and likes to golf, play ultimate frisbee, volleyball and other outdoor activities in his free time.

Lucas Vervynckt, CPA is a Manager in the firm's South Bend, Ind. office. He received his BA in Accounting from the Grace College. He works on a variety of individual and corporate tax returns as well as personal property tax preparation and employee benefit plan audits. Lucas enjoys spending time with friends and family while playing and watching tennis, basketball and football. He is an avid hunter and fisherman and loves the sights and sounds the outdoors has to offer.

Yubi Zapata is a Senior Staff Accountant in the firm's St. Joseph, Mich. office. She joined the firm in 2022 after a tax season internship where she focused on individual and business tax preparation. Yubi received her BS and Masters in Accounting from Ferris State University. In her free time, Yubi and her husband enjoy playing roundnet and going to tournaments. They also love spending time at the beach. During winter months, she enjoys playing indoor soccer.
