Josh Brown Earns CPA

staff-josh-brownKruggel Lawton CPAs is pleased to announce that Josh Brown, staff accountant, recently completed all requirements to become a certified public accountant and is now licensed as a CPA. Brown has been with Kruggel Lawton since 2015.

Brown received his undergraduate degree in arts from Grace College, Winona Lake, Ind., with a concentration in accounting, business administration and Bible. He is based in the firm’s Elkhart office, focusing on a variety of assurance engagements, primarily audits and reviews for nonprofit organizations. His nonprofit services also include work with Single Audits and preparation of Form 990.

“Professional development is a priority at our firm, just as it is for Josh,” said Managing Partner Barry Hall. “We look forward to his contributions as a CPA and continuing to provide our clients with the strongest team possible.”

Requirements of an Indiana CPA license include passing the Uniform CPA Examination and having two years of full-time accounting employment. The Uniform CPA Examination measures professional competence and helps to establish the CPA license as evidence of professional qualification. The examination is a 14 hour computer-based test with four sections: Auditing & Attestation, Financial Accounting & Reporting, Regulation, and Business Environment & Concepts.
