Josh Brown, CPA, Named 2021 HERM Award Recipient

Kruggel Lawton is pleased to announce the 2021 HERM Award recipient is Josh Brown, CPA.

The HERM Award, introduced in 2018, is presented annually to a KL team member who exemplifies the values and spirit of Kruggel Lawton. Nominations for the HERM Award are submitted by individuals or teams at the firm with the winner being selected by an internal committee.

“Josh is an integral part of our team and the firm as a whole,” said the Not-for Profit team. “Undoubtedly, his primary concern is for people and relationships, and he approaches both his internal and external relationships with the same caring and kindness. His work product is exemplary, and he takes great care with making sure our clients are well-served which is evidenced by how fond our clients are of him. He is always looking for ways to simplify workpapers and improve efficiencies which has contributed to the significant improvement in realizability for our team over the past year. He is committed to KL, but also models balance with his personal life.”

Josh Brown, CPA is a Senior Manager in the firm's Goshen, Ind. office. He received a BA in Accounting/Business Administration/Bible from Grace College.  Since joining Kruggel Lawton, Josh has been involved in numerous assurance engagements and now specializes in nonprofit entities. He has also obtained sufficient CPE hours to assist on Single Audits and is well versed with preparation of form 990. Other areas of service include corporate and individual tax preparation, audit, reviews and compilations, as well as trust and estate tax preparation. Josh enjoys watching and playing all sports, especially basketball and golf. He likes to be outdoors and is always in search of new adventures.
