Kruggel Lawton is pleased to announce that Adam Schwelnus, CPA, CGMA, has returned to the firm as senior manager, CFO services. From 2013-2017 Schwelnus served as vice president/CFO at LOGAN Community Resources, Inc., one of Indiana’s leading providers of services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He first joined Kruggel Lawton in 2006 as a staff accountant and over the next seven years was promoted to manager, primarily focused on audit work.
In his new role as part of the firm’s Business Accounting Services group, Schwelnus will work with privately held companies and nonprofit organizations, providing administrative, managerial, and operational financial guidance. “We are thrilled that Adam is rejoining the firm and taking on this important leadership role,” said Barry Hall, managing partner at Kruggel Lawton. “His diverse experience in both public and private accounting uniquely positions him to anticipate client needs and provide tested solutions."
“It feels great to return to Kruggel Lawton at a time of such growth,” said Schwelnus. “I am excited to work with new and former colleagues as we explore new opportunities and expand the Business Accounting Services practice.”
Schwelnus has a B.A. in Accounting from Judson University, Elgin, Ill., and an M.S. in Accounting from Indiana University, South Bend, Ind. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.
