Adam Schwelnus Rejoins Kruggel Lawton CPAs as Senior Manager, CFO Services

Kruggel Lawton is pleased to announce that Adam Schwelnus, CPA, CGMA, has returned to the firm as senior manager, CFO services. From 2013-2017 Schwelnus served as vice president/CFO at LOGAN Community Resources, Inc., one of Indiana’s leading providers of services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He first joined Kruggel Lawton in 2006 as a staff accountant and over the next seven years was promoted to manager, primarily focused on audit work.

In his new role as part of the firm’s Business Accounting Services group, Schwelnus will work with privately held companies and nonprofit organizations, providing administrative, managerial, and operational financial guidance. His specific service areas include financial forecasts, analysis, and projections; budget development; contract negotiation and relationship management with service providers; general ledger and account reconciliation; monthly financial statement preparation; internal control/risk analysis; and project management and implementation.

Schwelnus has a B.A. in Accounting from Judson University, Elgin, Ill., and an M.S. in Accounting from Indiana University, South Bend, Ind. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.
