Adam Schwelnus, CPA, CGMA, Promoted to Partner at Kruggel Lawton

Kruggel Lawton CPAs is pleased to announce that Adam Schwelnus, CPA, CGMA, has been promoted to partner in the firm’s Client Accounting & Advisory Services group effective January 1, 2022. This appointment brings the total number of partners at Kruggel Lawton to 15.

“We are very excited to have Adam join our partner group,” said Managing Partner Barry Hall, CPA, CGMA. “Adam has done an outstanding job of leading the growth in the firm’s Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) line, and his election as partner is well-deserved. Through Adam’s leadership and consultative approach to client service, KL has become a regional leader in providing CAAS services. We are very excited to see what Adam and his group will accomplish in 2022 and beyond.”

Schwelnus has more than 15 years of experience, with a specialized focus in administrative, managerial, and operational financial guidance for privately held companies and nonprofit organizations. He has extensive experience with financial forecasting and reporting, budget development, contract negotiations, project management, staff management and development.

Schwelnus has a B.A. in Accounting from Judson University, Elgin, Ill., and an M.S. in Accounting from Indiana University, South Bend, Ind. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Indiana CPA Society. Additionally, Schwelnus is a 2013 graduate of Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka and was named one of Michiana’s Forty Under 40 in 2015. Outside of his professional life, Schwelnus enjoys taking family vacations with his wife Carly and their three children, playing golf and biking.
