Kruggel Lawton Announces Promotions of Six Team Members

Kruggel Lawton is pleased to announce the promotions of six professionals. Lydia Mitchell, Matie Ohms, and Hanna Osthimer-Studt are now senior staff accountants. Brian Hake, Tanya Kessinger, and Jon Leaman have been promoted to manager.

 

Lydia Mitchell has been promoted to senior staff accountant in Kruggel Lawton’s South Bend office. She has been with the firm since 2017 and focuses her work on tax services for businesses and individuals. Mitchell received her B.A. in accounting from Ferris State University, Dowagiac, Mich.

 

Matie Ohms has been promoted to senior staff accountant in Kruggel Lawton’s St. Joseph, Mich., office. She has been with the firm since 2016, specializing in tax services for businesses and individuals. Ohms received her B.B.A. in accounting from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Ind.

 

Hanna Osthimer-Studt has been promoted to senior staff accountant in Kruggel Lawton’s South Bend office. She has been with the firm since 2016 and is involved in a variety of service areas including tax, business valuation, and business accounting services. Osthimer-Studt received her Bachelor of General Studies from Indiana University, South Bend.
 
Brian Hake, CPA, has been promoted to manager in Kruggel Lawton’s St. Joseph, Mich., office. He has been with the firm since 2008 and has a wide variety of experience across tax and assurance engagements, including individual and business tax preparation, general tax consulting, and audits of public and private entities. Hake received B.S. degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Dayton, Ohio.

Tanya Kessinger, CPA, has been promoted to manager. Kessinger has been a part of the firm’s remote team since 2014, working out of her home in Plainfield, Ind. She is involved at the management level in tax engagements, including research and preparation for both corporate and individual filings. Kessinger received her B.S. in accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington.
 
Jon Leaman, CPA, has been promoted to manager in Kruggel Lawton’s Elkhart office. Prior to joining the firm in 2017, he had three years of previous public accounting experience. He is experienced in audit, tax, and accounting services for family owned businesses, construction companies, nonprofit organizations and municipalities. Leaman received his master’s degree in accounting from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., and his undergraduate degree in accounting and business administration from Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va.
