Each year the Indiana CPA Society encourages member firms to participate in a CPA Day of Service. On Friday, October 3,  Kruggel Lawton will team up with Lake City Bank to host "JA In a Day" for K-4th graders at Swanson Primary Center in South Bend. Junior Achievement’s mission of “educating and inspiring young people to value free enterprise, business and economics in order to improve the quality of their lives” meshes well with our own mission and service model. We are excited to be able to use our team's expertise to teach important business ideas and life skills to children, our future workforce.

The JA in a Day program takes place in one half-day, four-hour period. In that time, we'll be working with 13 classes and approximately 400 kids, using the training and hands-on learning materials provided by Junior Achievement. Two volunteers will be assigned to each classroom which means we'll have 26 Kruggel Lawton and Lake City Bank employees volunteering. While it's a good time for the kids, we always have just as much (if not more) fun! Check out a few pictures from last year's event below.
