Child And Parent Services is celebrating their 40th anniversary with an evening of fine food, spirits, and philanthropy.

2016 marks 40 years since the hiring of Daryl Abbott as Elkhart County's first child abuse prevention coordinator. Abbott, priorly a caseworker at the county's welfare department, served as the president and CEO of the organization that eventually became CAPS for many years, overseeing the growth of many programs designed to keep children safe from abuse and neglect.
