Anita joined the firm's employee benefit plan practice in 2021, working remotely in Carmel, Indiana. She came to the firm with over 20 years of public accounting experience, primarily working with employee benefit plans. She has experience in a wide variety of industries and types of plans. 

EXPERIENCE

Anita is a senior member of the employee benefit plan team. Prior to joining the firm, she established, grew and managed the employee benefit plan practice in Indianapolis for a national firm. Her areas of service include:

• Conduct, manage and review audits of qualified retirement plans, including defined benefit plans, 403(b) plans, 401(k) profit sharing plans, employee stock ownership plans and health and welfare plans.
• Research and consult with clients on a variety of plan qualification, administration, and financial reporting issues.
• Develop and teach internal courses such as annual training updates and assist team members in addressing technical reporting and compliance questions.
• Design audit tools and templates used firmwide to conduct employee benefit plans, and redesign as appropriate for new auditing and accounting guidance.
• Corporate tax preparation

INTERESTS

Anita spends her time outside of work with her family and friends, often hosting gatherings centered around games. She helps her husband with his small business and has a special place in her heart for supporting local and small businesses. She also spends a great deal of time spoiling her two dogs and trying to convince her two children that music really was better before Y2K.
