2019 Q4 Tax Calendar: Key Deadlines For Businesses and Other Employers
Here are some of the key tax-related deadlines that apply to businesses and other employers during the final quarter of 2019. Keep in mind that this list isn’t all-inclusive, so there may be additional deadlines that apply to you. October 15
Final deadline to file 2018 individual tax returns (with extension) - (Forms 1040).
Last day the IRS will accept an electronically filed tax return for the year 2018. If filing after October 15, you'll need to mail in your tax return for processing.
Final deadline for calendar-year Benefit Plans (with an extension) to file Form 5500.
Final deadline to fund a SEP-IRA or solo 401(k) for tax year 2018 if you requested an automatic extension of time to file.
Final deadline to file 2018 corporate tax returns (with extension) - (Form 1120)
Final deadline to file 2018 Estates and Trusts (Form 1041)
October 31
Report income tax withholding and FICA taxes for third quarter 2019 (Form 941) and pay any tax due. (See Exception—November 12.)
November 12
Report income tax withholding and FICA taxes for third quarter 2019 (Form 941), if you deposited on time (and in full) all of the associated taxes due.
November 15
Final deadline to file 2018 Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax (with extension) - (Forms 990, 990EZ)
December 16
If a calendar-year C corporation, pay the fourth installment of 2019 estimated income taxes.
