In what has become an annual tradition, Kruggel Lawton and Old National Bank will face-off for the group's 8th Blood Drive Challenge! During the twelve-week challenge, associates and their family members will be encouraged to make a donation at any area blood bank. As friends of Kruggel Lawton, we welcome you to participate! When you donate blood between August 10 and October 31, email Erin to tell her the date and location of your donation and we'll include you in our official pint count. If donating at a South Bend Medical Foundation Donor Center, also mention Group #78 during registration.

This friendly challenge began in 2008 when employees from both organizations rallied together in support of an Old National Bank associate whose mother was receiving blood transfusions as she battled cancer. Continuing on in her memory since then, representatives from the two organizations have donated a total of 288 pints, or 36 gallons, of blood – impacting 864 lives.

Over the years, the title has gone back and forth between the two organizations - last year Kruggel Lawton took home the trophy. Regardless of who wins, we enjoy the annual challenge simply for the satisfaction of knowing that with each pint of blood donated, we are making a difference right here in our local communities.
